March of the Gnus

A herd of Blue Wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus) walking towards the Mara River in the Masai Mara National Reserve Masai Mara. The picture was taken near Paradise plains in the Masai Mara National Reserve of Kenya. The picture was taken when the sun was going down in the late afternoon. It was taken by single exposure using a Nikon D300 and a Nikon VR lens 300mm with a shutter speed of 0.4s and an F stop of 6.3. The wildebeest were walking in a single file and the tree added to the image. I used some saturation and an orange filter to enhance the sunset colours. I took the image from my car using a bean bag.
